Our Ministries

Sparrows Nest:

The Sparrow’s Nest was founded in 2008 at NFBC and is a health and hygiene supplement hosted at North Foster Baptist Church that provides items that are not covered by SNAP or food stamps to low income individuals in Foster, RI. Items include razors, bar soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, all-purpose cleaner, laundry soap, dish soap, Kleenex, paper towels, and toilet paper. Specialty items like conditioner, body wash, lotions, and other health and hygiene products are available from time to time depending on the donations we receive.

Everything offered at the Sparrow’s Nest is provided 100% by donations. Without donations and our dedicated volunteers, The Sparrow’s Nest would not be able to function. Every donation counts and makes a huge difference!

The Sparrow’s Nest is held on the first Saturday of every month in the NFBC Family Room from 9:00am to 11:00am (the Family Room can be accessed by parking in the rear of the church and entering the door on the left). Keep an eye out for our monthly article in the Foster Home Journal for updates!

If you live in Foster and would like more information about the program, please contact us 401-647-5805, email us at northfosterbaptist@gmail.com or contact Foster DHS at 401-392-9208. This ministry is 100% donation supported! If you would like to contribute, please contact us or follow this link for information on how to make cash donations.

St. Pauly Textiles Bin:

At the front of our parking lot there is a bin that you can place old unwanted clothing into. These clothes are redistributed or recycled by St Pauly. Our church receives a cash credit for the clothing picked based on weight which helps support our general ministry. Note: Please, only clothing in this bin and please place all clothes in bags prior to placing in the bin. This bin is open 24 hours a day!

Thank you!
