Sparrows Nest:
The Sparrow’s Nest was founded in 2008 at NFBC and is a health and hygiene supplement hosted at North Foster Baptist Church that provides items that are not covered by SNAP or food stamps to low income individuals in Foster, RI. Items include razors, bar soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, all-purpose cleaner, laundry soap, dish soap, Kleenex, paper towels, and toilet paper. Specialty items like conditioner, body wash, lotions, and other health and hygiene products are available from time to time depending on the donations we receive.
Everything offered at the Sparrow’s Nest is provided 100% by donations. Without donations and our dedicated volunteers, The Sparrow’s Nest would not be able to function. Every donation counts and makes a huge difference!
The Sparrow’s Nest is held on the first Saturday of every month in the NFBC Family Room from 9:00am to 11:00am (the Family Room can be accessed by parking in the rear of the church and entering the door on the left). Keep an eye out for our monthly article in the Foster Home Journal for updates! Our next Sparrow’s Nest will be June 7, 2025.
If you live in Foster and would like more information about the program, please contact us 401-647-5805, email us at northfosterbaptist@gmail.com or contact Foster DHS at 401-392-9208. This ministry is 100% donation supported! If you would like to contribute, please contact us or follow this link for information on how to make cash donations.
Thank you!
Cheerful Giver Clothing Ministry:

The Cheerful Giver Clothing Ministry – or CGCM for short – is a completely free clothing exchange located in the basement of NFBC. Individuals or families can come take as much gently used and new clothing, as they need, no questions asked. All are welcome! We cannot guarantee having a specific size or type of clothing, but thanks to our wonderful volunteers, as well as anyone who has donated clothing, our stash of clothing is constantly rotating and expanding. Since September of 2022, our community clothing closet has been open to the public on the 1st Saturday of each month, 9am-12pm. Our next open day will be June 7, 2025. We also accept requests, as needs arise! If you have questions, or want to volunteer, please speak to PB, who will serve as the CGCM coordinator, until further notice. A special THANK YOU to Rachel Arruda for starting this ministry, and serving as coordinator for the first 8 years, and to Cindy Bagley, who has done an amazing job of operating and organizing the closet for several years now.
St. Pauly Textiles Bin:

In the mood for some Spring Cleaning? At the front of our parking lot there is a shed where you can recycle your unwanted clothing! These clothes are sorted by our awesome CGCM volunteers, and anything we don’t use for the clothing ministry is redistributed or recycled by the St Pauly company. Our church receives a cash credit for the clothing picked up based on weight, which helps support our general ministry. Note: Please, only clothing in this bin and please place all clothes in bags prior to placing in the bin. This bin is open 24 hours a day!
